Tristan was one of the first seniors that I photographed this season. He came with his dad and brought his four-wheeler with him for a prop. We had a good session and I thought we had some good images as a result. I didn't really get to know Tristan very well from that day, I usually ask them about the sports that they play and just try to get them to relax a little. He liked soccer and racing his four-wheeler. Sadly, the day after I dropped off his proofs to him, he passed away as a result of an accident. It really hit home that every day we have here on earth, is a precious gift to enjoy. Tristan's parents have expressed how much these photos of him, mean to his family and I thank them for giving me the opportunity to document this time in his life.

ACFFD
I help out with the website for the local fair, so I try to get a few new photos each year. Here are just three that I liked. It's a fun place to visit, with lots of agricultural oriented things to do. Check out their website at www.addisoncountyfielddays.com and plan to attend next year from August 4th to the 8th.

Meet Liam & Owen, these brothers have been coming each fall for photos for the past few years. They are always fun and sometimes challenging, but I usually come up with some photos that capture their personalities and how much they love each other. It's nice that they remember me and are completely comfortable with me.

I'm trying to get into a regular blogging routine after a very busy summer of weddings and portrait sessions. This young man was one of my favorite senior sessions this summer. Shane is a fine example, of the kind of people that you see in the small towns in Vermont. He's a hard worker and his parents are justly proud of him and his accomplishments. I had a good time working with his props, being his show heifer and the tractor. Good luck with your senior year, Shane.

Last week I had the distinct honor of creating the official portrait of Fr. Justin Baker, which will hang in the Parish Hall along with the portraits of the previous Pastors of St. Mary's Church. Having celebrated the 100th anniversary of the church last September, I wonder if someone will be looking at the photo 100 years from now?
This is a follow-up to the previous post. At the graduation of the sixth grade, the sixth grade teacher, Mrs Billings gave an emotional speech to the class about believing in themselves and that they were capable of doing anything they wanted to in life. Mrs Billings is moving on to her dream job next year, so she was presented a bouquet of flowers by her son, Riker. Mrs Billings is an outstanding teacher and the school's favorite. I visited the classroom a time or two and it was easy to see why her students were learning, they were excited and anxious to learn and they were having fun doing it. Mrs Billings was God's gift to our school.

Today at the graduation Mass, Fr. Justin Baker was presented with a photo that I had designed and framed, of the school, with a collage of the classes as a going away gift. Each student signed their name on the mat. He is being transferred to a new parish on July 1st. He will be very hard to replace after five years here. I consider him a friend as well as our spiritual leader and wish him well at his new parish.
